Srilanka on Tuesday defeated England by a heavy margin of 219 runs (D/L) and got a consolation victory in another rain affected match played at Colombo.
SL won the toss and opted to bat. Their top 4 fired and helped the team score 366/6 in 50 overs. Niroshan Dickwella scored 95 runs, Dinesh Chandimal contributed 80 runs while Samawickrama (54) and Kusal Mendis (56) scored half centuries.
Tom Curran and Moeen Ali scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, England could only manage 132/9 in 26.1 overs. Ben Stokes top scored with 67 runs. Moeen Ali added 37 runs.
Note: It was the heaviest defeat for England in ODIs.
Akila Dananjaya picked 4 wickets while Dushmantha Chameera scalped 3 wickets.
Dickwella was named Player of the Match while England skipper, Eoin Morgan won Player of the Series award.
Note: England won the five match ODI series 3-1.
The one-off T20I will be held on Saturday.
