Ireland on Sunday put up an impressive all-round show to stop Afghanistan from winning ODI series.
Earlier, in the match, Ireland won the match and opted to ball first, Afghanistan started poorly as they lost their 4 wickets for just 50 runs. However, Afghan captain Asghar Afghan belted 82 runs to bring his side back in the game, Mohammad Nabi contributed his captain with 40 runs. Later Rashid Khan Quickfire 32 runs helped Afghanistan to post above 200 runs on the board. George Dockrell was the pick of the bowler for Ireland with 2 scalps in the match.
In, reply Ireland started well as Ireland captain William Porterfield and Paul Stirling added 50 plus partnership for the opening wicket, Stirling (70) continued to pile up runs along with Inform Andrew Balbirnie (68). Later, Kevin O Brien (33) takes his side to the series-leveling win. Zahir Khan took 2 wickets for Afghanistan.
