All-rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled of India B side for the upcoming quadrangular series after he suffered a hamstring injury.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said there won’t be any replacement in his absence. “Vijay Shankar was part of the India B squad in the Quadrangular series. However, the Senior Selection Committee has reached a consensus that there won’t be a replacement for Shankar in the India B squad,” BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary told the media.

The 27-year-old, Shankar is currently undergoing a rehab in NCA, Bengaluru.

India A, India B, Australia A and South Africa A are the teams that will play in the Quadrangular series. The tournament will kick off from August 17.

Squad India B: Manish Pandey(c), Mayank Agarwal, Shreyas Gopal, Jayant Yadav,  Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shubman Gill, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, Siddarth Kaul, Deepak Hooda, Ricky Bhui, Ishan Kishan, Prasidh Krishna, Kulwant Khejroliya, Navdeep Saini.
Squad India A: Shreyas Iyer(c), Prithvi Shaw, Krishnappa Gowtham, Nitish Rana, Sanju Samson, , Mayank Markande, Ravikumar Samarth, Shivam Mavi, K Khaleel Ahmed, Siddhesh Lad Suryakumar Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Siraj.
