England played superb cricket in the knock out match of the Tri-Series. But the deadly opening duo of Martin Guptill 62 in 47 and Colin Munro 57 off just 27 added 78 runs partnership in just 6 overs. They played fearless cricket altogether. The Duo hit 11 humongous sixes. They set the base for their side to reach above 175 runs mark.
Earlier in the day New Zealand won the toss and opt to bowl. England went to bat first but eventually, they lost their both openers in 3 overs.
