SRH successfully defended the 3rd small target in Vivo IPL 2018
Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royal by 11 runs
Siddharth Kaul already became the rising fast bowler of the tournament
Sunrisers captain Kane Williamson played a vital knock of 63 runs in just 43 balls
Another bowling heroic bowling performance from SRH by restricting Rajhasthan 11 runs short of their 152 runs target. The credit goes to complete bowling unit from Sandeep Sharma who is most economical in powerplays to Spinners Rashid Khan, Shakib and the wicket-taker Siddharth Kaul. They have not felt the absence of their best bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar due to the emergence of Siddharth as their lead bowler. However, batting of Sunrisers still in a worry because of continuous failure of the middle order batsman likes of Manish Pandya and Wriddhiman Shah.
Whereas Rajasthan Royals once again failed to compile and gel up in batting. Their batting revolves around Sanju Samson. Apart from him, no other Royals batsman had shown consistency in the tournament. The biggest buy of IPL Ben Stokes failed miserably in this season. They have many issues to concern. Rajasthan overseas picks did not perform according to the expectations. Meanwhile, another West Indies player Jofra Archer made his mark in the tournament with his 6 wickets in just 2 matches for RR in the death overs.
Both the teams are suffering from similar sort of problems as their batting is the real concern and headache for both the captains. Even though Sunrisers have much better bowling unit than Rajasthan that’s why their batters poor performance was overshadowed by the exceptional bowling show from Sunrisers bowlers.
