The second test between Sri Lanka and India will kick off today at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. India will try to seal this game in order to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the 3 match test series.
Things to look out for in the second game:

Murli Vijay will get a game while Ishant Sharma is expected to be in the playing XI as both Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar is out for personal reasons.

Bright sunny condition is expected in Nagpur that will help both India and Sri Lanka spinners. It is to be noted that spinners hardly bowled at Eden Gardens. However, Green pitch will be provided once again.

Expect low run rate in the game as per the stats suggests so far at the venue.

Umesh Yadav is 3 while Mohd. Shami is 8 short of his 100 test wickets while Dilruwan Perera needs 4 and Suranga Lakmal requires 5 wickets to reach the milestone for their respective teams.

Sri Lanka skipper, Dinesh Chandimal is 22 runs short of his 3000 Test runs.

Vijay Shankar,26, received his maiden call for India a couple of days ago for the second test. He plays for Tamil Nadu and India A side. Averages 49+ with the bat in 1st class. He was brought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s IPL. However, he is likely to be on the bench.

India have won last game against SA in 2015 while playing at this venue. It is to be noted that Sri Lanka is yet to register a test victory on the Indian soil.
