The left-handed opener Colin Munro creates the record by becoming the first to score three hundred in T20.

The 3rd T20 match between New Zeland and West Indies took place at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. Where New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first in the nice batting conditions. The decisions adjudged right by their openers. Both the duo came to the pitch with the explosive approach. However, Martin Guptill makes a comeback after a break but he didn’t show any sign of it by playing his natural game. Colin Munro combined with him to hammer West Indies bowling attack all around the ground. They create the partnership of 136 runs in just 69 balls.

Even though New Zeland lost Guptill wicket in the process of scoring quick runs. But Colin  Munro continued his charge on West Indies bowler and end up by scoring the century. He scored (104) runs in 53 balls. Captain Kane Williamson and Tom Bruce also played blister small knocks to take their team to the mammoth target of 243 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. West Indies 3 bowlers gone for more than 50 runs in their quota of 4 overs. Westindies captain Carlos Brathwaite was the highest wicket-taker for his team. He picked 2 wickets in his 4 over by giving 50 runs.

While chasing such a gigantic total. West Indies all hopes lie at Chris Gayle. He Recently showed his impressive form in BPL. But New Zeland bowlers come with different plans. Tim Southee bowled a fiery first over to remove both the openers without opening their account. Windies start was horrified after two quick wickets. The match seemed to be over at that stage.Andre Fletcher tries to put some fight by scoring 46 runs. But that was not enough. Later Trent Bolt and Ish Sodhi combined to dethrone the Westindies batting lineup. West Indies only managed to score 124 runs and got all out with 21 balls to spare.
