New Zeland whitewash Champions trophy winner Pakistan in the ODI series.

The 5th ODI match between Newzeland and Pakistan ends on a thrilling note. Pakistan lower order snatch the hearth from the mouth of Newzeland Team. At one point Pakistan was tottering on the score of 57/5. It seemed like kiwis get the huge win. But two inform batsman of Pakistan Shadab Khan & Haris Sohail.stitched a 105-run stand. With a crucial contribution of 63 from Sohail and 54 from Shadab. But Santner spoils Pakistan plans by removing well-set duo within a span of 13 balls to sink Pakistan further in the match.

However, Pakistan lower order continued to fight with the contribution of  Aamer Yamin (32) along with Faheem Ashraf(23) in just 15 balls and Mohammad Nawaz(23) in 12 balls. But New Zeland kept is tight and hold their nerves to clinch the victory by 15 runs. Matt Henry was the pick of bowlers with his 4 scalps for just 53 runs in 10 overs. Left-arm spinner  Mitchell Santner gives him good support with his 3 wickets for just 40 runs in 10 overs.

During the start of the match, New Zealand won the toss and opt to bat at Basin Reserve, Wellington. Where Martin Guptill and Colin Munro once again gives New Zealand good start as the duo added 52 runs for the opening wicket. But Munro(34) falls in the pray by the Pakistan best bowler in the series Rumman Raees. Martin Guptill (100)continued his good form and scored the 2nd consecutive century of the series. He stitched over 100 runs partnership with Ross Tylor(59). Kiwis set themselves to reach the 300 mark. But Pakistan bowlers didn’t allow New Zeland lower order to stroked their runs freely as they removed wickets almost in every over from 45th over. Finally, at the end, New Zeland could only be managed to reach the 271 runs mark with their 7 wickets down. Rumman Raees picked 3 wickets for 67 runs in his quota of 10 overs.
