New Zealand won the historical 1st Day night test match at their home venue
The 1st test match proved to be a forgettable experience for visitors as their batting collapsed for just 58 runs in 1st innings
Trent Bolt decimates England batting with his returning figure 9 wickets in the match( 6/32, 3/67).
Kane Williamson became highest century scorer for New Zeland with his 18th Test century. He surpasses Late Martin Crowe.
New Zeland cracked the dominating performance over England in the 1st test. The disappointing season continues for England. They once again failed to adapt the condition. Earlier they lost Ashes against Australia and now start New Zeland tour with the humiliating loss. The Eden Park, Auckland condition of swing and seam is favorable for the visitors. Despite playing most of the season in such similar condition. Their batsman looked clueless against New Zealand quick in the swinging condition. However, credit goes to the way New Zeland bowler execute their plan. They are consistent with the line length in both innings. The left-right Bowling duo of Trent Boult and Tim Southee once again hurts opposition. Neil Wagner complete this attack with his variety of bowling and wicket picking ability.
Kane Williamson lead by an example by playing captains knock of 102 runs. While Henry Nicholls 146 runs inning work wonders for Kiwis to post 427 runs in 1st innings. England experienced bowers struggled to match New Zeland bowlers footsteps. They hardly trouble New Zeland batsman lead by their captain Kane Williamson.
One thing noted in English Batting line up that it is slightly fragile. Their batsman score runs but the conversion rate is very poor. In England 2nd innings Their four batsman scored 50 plus runs. But none of those batsmen able to convert that into hundred. If one or two batsmen able convert that half-century into big hundred than result might be got different outcomes. New Zeland won the match in the last session of day 5. England batsman might draw the test match if they show little more resistance and one of their batsman has been able to hit a big ton in their 2nd inning.
Whereas New Zeland team is moving in the right direction they are not over-dependent on Captain Kane Williamson. They have many batsmen who can take the responsibility of scoring runs if Williamson fails. Nicholls is the biggest example of their batting strength. depth in their batting made them formidable side as Tim Southee came at number 9 to bat.
brief score: NZ 427/8 dec ENG 58, 320-all out (126.1 Ovs)
