While New Zealand men team is having a hard time in India, Kiwis women team make sure that they are on top of their game as New Zealand women won the second ODI against Pakistan women by 7 wickets.
The match took place at Sharjah Cricket Association where Pakistan women won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision was not backed up by the team as they only manage to score 147 and they were all out in the last over. Nahida Khan, Sana Mir and captain Bismah Maroof scored in the 30s while there was no support from other ends. Amelia Kerr picked up 3 wickets for just 35 runs while Leigh Kasperek and Hannah Rowe picked up 2 wickets each.
New Zealand women had to chase a small total of 148 in their 50 overs. Sophie Devine scored 62 runs and was declared Woman of the Match while captain Suzie Bates scored 33 runs. Ammy Satterthwaite was unbeaten on 25 to take the game through the winning margin for New Zealand women in the 24th over as they took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series against Pakistan women taking place in UAE.
