Total tally of 1122 players will be on the list of  IPL Auction 2018.
This year VIVO IPL will be telecast on Star Sports.
Joe Root for the first time considered himself in IPL among 282 overseas players.

Indian Premier League is set to organize its biggest auction on. 27-28 January in Bangalore. There are many known and unknown faces in the Auction this time.

The total of 26 players from England, 58 from Australia, 30 from New Zealand and 57 from South Africa have registered for the auction. Afghanistan too will see 13 players on the list while there are as many as 39 players from Sri Lanka. 39 players from Windies too have entered the auction. The most surprising fact is that 2 players of USA also registered their name in the Auctions. Whereas Zimbabwe has 7 players, Ireland 2 and Scotland 1.

There are a total of 281 capped players, 838 uncapped players.Which also includes 778 Indian players. Apart from three players from Associate nations.

This year Auction will be interesting as there are many valuable players. But all the 8 franchises have RTM(right to match card). Which they used to retain their two important players.

The franchises will leave no stone unturned when Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Chris Lynn, Eoin Morgan and pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins come up for VIVO IPL Player Auction 2018.

The VIVO IPL has always been about the union of talent and opportunity and India U19 captain Prithvi Shaw, Baroda skipper Deepak Hooda, all-rounder Krunal Pandya and Basil Thampi will fill up the uncapped players’ slot. Australian D’Arcy Short and youngster Jofra Archer will be hoping to cash in on their recent T20 form.
