record creating numbers of the series.
India won the 6th ODI astonishingly by 8 wickets.
Virat Kohli diminished South Africa bowling with his magnificent 35th century.
He scored 558 runs in the series highest by any batsman in bilateral series.
Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal took 33 wickets in the series which is most of any spin pair in any ODI series.
Shardul Thakur picked 4 wickets in the match. Most of any fast bowler taken in one match.
India carnaged South Africa in their own backyard. Visitors did something remembering for the lifetime. They won 5 matches in ODI series on past 16 days. Before this new record, India had won the same figure of 5 matches but it takes 25 years. This termed as their best overseas win in terms of the numbers and the way they defeated the opposition. However, we have to admit this is the worst South African side we have seen.
India biggest positive came in the form of their bowling. Indian bowlers not allowed South Africa batting to crossed 300 runs mark in the series. Spinners are the major factor along with Fast bowlers. Batting still a worry for the men in blue. even though Virat Kohli led top Order flourished runs.
The best thing about team India is that they become better with every match. While it is opposite for proteas as they showed the poorest cricket in 6th ODI. Their batting and bowling department failed miserably to counter India for one last time in the series. But they gave up after AB de Villiers wicket. Since then it was one-way traffic for the visitors.
The decision making of captain Virat Kohli is spontaneous in this series. His decision over team selection and toss worked in the favor of his side.
I hope India will rectify their middle & lower order batting woes before big tour against England in England.
