The England crowd on Saturday witnessed a special guest at Edgbaston. It was none other than the England national team manager Gareth Southgate.
Southgate was spotted in a squad supporting the hosts in full voice. As usual, he wore a clean-cut, waistcoat.
But, In reality, he is a fan who is the lookalike of Southgate. The disguised manager is a part of the ‘Barmy Army’.

However, his presence seemed to have done a world of good for England who won the match by 31 runs in a close contest. He was also present during present during the recently concluded FIFA World Cup.
England manager Gareth Southgate has become a national hero at home after he took England to the semi-final stages in the FIFA World Cup 2018.
As per a report, Southgate will be offered a new contract with a significant pay rise to remain England manager for next two years. Moreover, he has been shortlisted as the Best FIFA Men’s Coach of 2018 along with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

On the other hand, the hosts were delighted after winning the 1st Test match. They lead the five-match test series 1-0. The next test will begin on August 9.
