The second T20 of the Womens Ashes took place at the Manuka Oval Oval in Canberra. England won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first they piled 152 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Natalie Sciver scored 40 runs while wicket batswomen Sarah Taylor scored 36 runs and Katherine brunt scored 32 runs. Megan Schutt picked 2 wickets for just 16 runs in her four overs for Australia.
In reply, Australia Women were bowled out for 112 runs in just 18 overs. None among the batswomen apart from the openers got going after the first wicket fell at the score at 45. Wicketkeeper batswoman Alyssa Healy managed 21 runs that stood highest of the Australia innings. Jenny Gunn picked 4 wickets for just 13 runs in 3 overs while Katherine Brunt and Sophie Eccleston scalped two wickets each.
