England defeated New Zeland by 4 runs in the Nail-Biter finish.

Moeen Ali was the star in the match with his all-around foreplay by scalping 3 wickets and stroking vital 23 runs.
New Zeland inexperienced middle order collapsed in the chase against quality spin bowling.
The 3rd one day international played between England and New Zeland at Westpac Stadium, Wellington. Where host New Zealand won the toss and opt to bowl. England batsman struggled to pace the innings from the start due to slow spunging pitch. Where ball didn’t come into the bat.

Ish Sodhi kept the England batsman in check all the time in the inning and won’t allow them to built a big partnership. Even though England lower order tried their best to take their team to fighting total. Jos Buttler scored quick 29 runs. He breaks the shackles to hit Ish Sodhi for the boundary. Ish Sodhi took 3 wickets for 53 runs in his 10 overs. England only managed to post 234 runs on the board in 50 overs.
New Zeland chase started on the disappointing note as they lost their opening wicket of Martin Guptill cheaply. However, the partnership between captain Kane Williamson and Colin Munro (49) put their innings back on track. Things going smooth in the favor of Kiwis and seemed like all over for England. Than we witnessed spin magic which changes the complete complex of the match.
New Zeland comfortably cruising toward the target. But soon as the wicket of Mark Chapman fall. Host lost their track with another middle-order collapse from New Zeland. They lost 3 wickets within 6 runs to dent their chase. Captain Kane Williamson stand firm at one end but wickets continued to fall from other ends. New Zealand got one respite and England scare when Mitchell Santner stands in between England wickets telly. Kane Williamson completes his hard-fought century while building an important partnership of 96 runs with Santner 41. Partnership rise hopes in New Zeland camp. But the required run rate pressure started to mount on duo batsman.
The turning point of the match came in form of Mitchell Santner run out. He looked good to take his side home. But a misjudged running between the wicket between well-set duo cost his wicket.
Kane Williamson remains unbeaten on 112 runs. But his well fought century goes in vain as New Zeland lost the match by 4 runs. They finished on 230 runs for 8 wickets. Adil Rashid took 2 wickets while Moeen Ali the best bowler in the match had taken 3 wickets for just 36 runs.
New Zeland insensitive batting once again crumbled in the pressure situation. Which is very disappointing sign for their side before 2019 world cup. They have to figure out their batting errors before the big tournament.
England showed their dominance in ODI for the last 3 years. They need to continue to flourish in coming matches before the world cup. They will face their biggest challenge in July against number one side India.
India is also ruling the cricket in limited overs format. These two teams are title favorites. The variety of players make their side more balanced and prominent over other teams. India found the new allies in the form of wrist spinners who are more than able to conquered any opposition on their own deck. That series will be going to be exciting to watch.
