In reply, Dhaka Dynamites lost their first wicket in the first over of their innings but later Evin Lewis (28), Jahurul (29), Afridi (21) were chipped in but fails to help their side to reach the target. Rangpur Riders bowlers put up a complete bowling performance as their four bowlers out of 5 picked up 2 wickets each. Captain Mortaza take 2 wickets for 30 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
At one stage it seemed like Dhaka will easily win this match when they needed 10 runs in the last over and Pollard was on the strike, He also delivered one mighty six in the third ball of Perera and made the match completely one-sided as they needed 4 runs in 3 balls.But Perera made a sensational comeback and bowl two back to back yorker’s too out Pollard first and then no 11 batsman Abu Haider to all-out Dhaka for 139 runs. He ends up his spell for 4 overs 37 runs and 2 wickets.
Note: Chris Gayle was Declared Man of the Match for his game-changing knock, he is the biggest difference between the two side.
