Ireland on Thursday lost yet another game against Afghanistan.

Afghanistan defeated Irishmen by 5 wickets in 1st ODI held at Uttarakhand.

Ireland were bowled out for just 161 in 49.4 overs after opting to bat first.

Paul Stirling scored 89 runs, George Dockrell contributed 37 runs.

Dawlat Zadran and Mujeeb claimed 3 wickets each while Gulabudin Naib claimed 2 wickets.

In reply, Afghanistan chased down 161 in 41.5 overs. Naib scored 46 and won Player of the match award.

Mohd. Shahzad added 43 runs.

2nd ODI will be held on March 2.
