England women takes the lead of 1-0 in 3 match T20 series
Indian women’s cricket team poor form in shortest format of the game continues as home side lost yet another T20 match. England overpowered India in the opening match of the series to draw the first blood. Earlier in the match Indian women team won the toss and asked England to bat first at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. English team posted 160 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs, riding on the contribution of Beaumont (62), Knight (40) and Wyatt (35). Radha Yadav was pick of the bowler for India with 2 scalp.
In reply, India team stumbled in a chase as home side lost 5 wickets for just 46 runs. In the end Indian women remain short of the target by 41 runs. Brunt and smith took 2 wickets each for England.
