Trinbago Knight defeated St Lucia Stars by 5 wickets in a record-equaling 34 sixes match at St Lucia on Thursday.
TBR won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, STS scored 212 runs for the loss of just two wickets in their 20 overs. David Warner top scored with 72* runs that included 3 sixes.
Skipper Kieron Pollard hit 7 sixes in his innings of unbeaten 65 runs while Rahkeem Cornwall who scored 53 runs too hit 5 sixes.
In reply, TKR lost the openers early. They were 20/2 in 3.2 overs. Later, Darren Bravo (94 runs) and Brendon McCullum (68 runs) performances took the game away from the hosts as TKR won the game by 5 wickets in 19.5 overs. Darren hit 10 sixes while McCullum hit 6 no. of sixes.
