Trent Boult on Thursday claimed his first ODI hat-trick and helped his side New Zealand win the first ODI held at Abu Dhabi by 47 runs.

Earlier, NZ won the toss and posted 266/9.

Ross Taylor scored 80 runs while Tom Latham contributed 68 runs.

Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan scalped 4 wickets.

In reply, PAk were bowled out for 219 in 47.2 overs.

Skipper Sarfaraz Khan scored 56 runs while Imad Wasim (50) also completed his half-century.

Blackcaps are 1-0 ahead in the ODI series.

T Boult was named Man of the Match.

Note: Boult completed his record by claiming the wickets of Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohd. Hafeez. He became the 3rd Kiwi to get a hat-trick in ODIs after Shane Bond (in 2007).

The next/ second ODI will be held on Friday.
