Ausralia on Sunday lost the first ODI against South Africa by 6 wickets held at Perth.

SA won the toss and left the hosts high and dry. The Tourists bowled out Aussies for just 152 runs.

Nathan Coulter Nile was the top scorer with 34 runs.

Andile Phehlukwayo and Imran Tahir picked three wickets each. Dale Steyn made a comeback with two scalps.

In reply, Proteas comfortably chased down the total as Openers Quinton de kock piled 47 runs and Reeza Hendricks scored 44 runs. Together they shared 94 run partnership taking the game away from home side.

Aiden Markram looked good for his 34.

Steyn was named Man of the Match for his figures of 7-1-18-2.

The second ODI will be played at Adelaide Oval on Friday.
