Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Hazratullah Zazai top scored with 82 runs off just 54 balls that included 6 fours and 7 sixes.
Skipper, Asghar Afghan contributed 37 runs while Najibullah Zadran played a cameo and scored unbeaten 20 runs off 10 deliveries he faced.
Peter Chase picked 3 wickets while Boyd Rankin scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, Ireland were bowled out for just 79 runs in just 15 overs. Rashid Khan ended with figures of 3-0-17-4 while Mujeeb Ur Rahman also picked 3 wickets.
William Porterfield scored 33 runs while Skipper Gary Wilson contributed 22 runs. Rest of the batsman even failed to reach double digits.
The 3rd and final T20I will be played today.
