Chennai Super Kings on Saturday beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets to claim victory in IPL opener.
RCB were put into bat first at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai but, the men in red got bowled out for just 70 runs with 10 batsmen scoring in single digits.
Harbhajan Singh won Player of the Match. He picked the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Moeen Ali to end with figures of 3-20 in four overs.
Imran Tahir too scalped 3 wickets with even less runs.
In reply, CSK won the match in 17.1 overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal ended with 6-1 at an economy of 1.5.
Parthiv Patel (29) top scored in the game.
Ambati Rayudu added 28 runs for home team.
The wicket behaved different then what the both captain expected at the start of the game but MS Dhoni had 3 spinners (one extra) and importantly won the toss.
All in all, a game to forget for RCB and start afresh at home for next game.
CSK, On the other hand, must be happy to start with a win and will be looking to continue doing their best.
