Indian captain Virat Kohli added one more feather to his cap as he created history by becoming the fastest captain to score 4000 Test runs.

Virat Kohli has been enjoying his role as a captain. It is evident to the fact that, his batting average has also got double ever since he became Test captain of Team India in 2015. The best batsman of the modern era achieved the feat of 4000 Test runs as a captain during his 58 run knock in the fourth innings of the 4th Test match at Southampton. The 29-year-old broke the record of West Indies great Brian Lara, who achieve this feat in 71 innings. Kohli also becomes first Indian captain to score 4000 test Runs.

Note: Virat Kohli completed his 6000 Test runs in 119 innings. Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar is the fastest to score 6000 Test runs in 117 innings. Kohli is placed at 2nd position on that list.
