Head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Daniel Vettori has been asked to leave the franchise after their poor performance in this year’s season of Indian Premier League, as per a report from Bangalore Mirror.

The report also added that bowling coach Andrew McDonald and fielding coach Trent Woodhill have also been asked to leave.

RCB managed to win just 6 games out 14 games this season and failed to qualify to the semi-final stage. The team had also had a terrible season back in 2017 where ended at the bottom of the points table.

However, Ashish Nehra who was appointed as a bowling mentor this year will continue. The announcement will be made next week but skipper Kohli’s suggestion will hold an importance.

Gary Kirsten who mentors the batting department is likely to be given the coaching role. There are also speculations that team India batting coach Sanjay Bangar could also take up the duties of head coach.
