Murli Vijay evokes his inner soul to come back in form on the tour where he scored a good amount of runs 4 years back in Australia. Indian opener Vijay looked in a fine touch during a practice match against CA 11, where he hammered 129 runs in 132 balls.
Earlier in England, the 34-year-old opening batsman was dropped from the team after continuous failure in an overseas tour in 2018. Even though, Tamil Nadu batsman is one of India’s most consistent batsman in Overseas condition.
During a conversation with Media, Vijay admit that the condition of Australia suites his batting style as he is a backfoot player.
So it is a great sign for India if their experienced opener finds his batting touch ahead of the 4 match Test series. Opening contribution always plays a vital role in Australia, in that case, it will be very crucial for India to get a good start from their openers. Murli Vijay will definitely play at least 2 matches in the absence of Prithvi Shaw and he could be a game-changer for India in this series.
