Mayank Agarwal comes in for Prithvi Shaw as a Replacement for the last 2 Test Matches
Karnataka opening batsman Mayank Agarwal has been named as a replacement for Prithvi Shaw, who is ruled out from the remaining series after being failed to recover from the ankle injury. Mayank has been in a supreme form for last 2 domestic season. He also holds an impressive first-class average of 50.30 in 45 matches.
India won the 1st Test match at Adelaide but lost the 2nd Test at Perth. Now the series level with 1-1 and still matches to go in the series. Agarwal will likely to open for India in Boxing day Test match at MCG cricket ground starting from 26 December. Kl Rahul might sit out in the 3rd Test considering his poor form in Test cricket.
