Australia’s former opening batsman fratured his spine while surfing in Queensland on Friday.

In an Instagram post, the cricketer shared his photo with head and neck injuries.

Regardless of the accident, the cricketer told the media that he will be back in surfing soon.

Hayden on Monday informed his fans about the injuries of his head and neck through instagram posts, including the fracture of the spinal cord.

Former explosive batsman said in his post that the incident took place during the holidays in Queensland while surfing. He called the incident a dodget bullet.

Matthew Hayden, who is involved in the Australia Cricket Hall of Fame, hurled his forehead on Friday after crossing the North Strandbroke island with his son Josh after entering a sandbank.
