Australian fast bowler John Hasting took a hard call of retiring from all form of cricket due to mystery lung condition. The 33-year-old pacer played 1 Test, 29 ODI, and 9 T20 international for Aussie.

Hasting, who experienced the first symptom of lungs infection a few years ago was explained by a doctor that there was no guarantee that there will be no bleeding in his lungs when he bowled.

Hasting told the media “There was just a lot of grey area surrounding long-term health, whether it was causing any damage, and if there was any potential to have a fatal bleed on the field.”
