India Test-wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha on Wednesday underwent a laberal repair surgery on his shoulder in Manchester.

Board of Control for Cricket in India posted pictures:

The 33-year-old has suffered multiple injuries, first during the tour of South Africa with hamstring injury and then a left thumb injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Later, a shoulder injury prevented him from the ongoing test match series between India and England. The surgery will keep him away from the game for another six to eight months (including the test series in Australia).

The Bengal based cricketer, Saha made his debut in 2010 and so far has represented India for 32 years.

Currently, Dinesh Karthik is serving the wicket-keeping duties for team India.
