Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will miss the second test at Lords owing to his recovery from a left-hand fracture.

The 24-year-old had sustained the injury during a T20 match in Ireland. He is yet to completely recover but has been declared bowling fit.

“He is bowling fit right now but it’s too early to put into a game like situation. The plaster on his hands needs to come off first. He is out of contention for the second Test,” bowling Coach Bharat Arun confirmed while addressing the media at a press conference on Tuesday.

The Yorker specialist had also missed the first test that India lost by 31 runs.
