Virat Kohli will be the 1st cricketer in 11 years to receive Khel Ratna Award. 

Indian captain Virat Kohli is set to receive India’s highest sporting honor Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. He will be 3rd Indian cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar (1997) & MS Dhoni (2007) to receive Khel Ratna Award.

The World’s best batsman at the moment in modern cricket Virat Kohli is in sublime form in all three formats from 2015 and he continues to improve with every series he is playing. Kohli has recently ended England tour on the high with the bat as he scored 900 plus runs in the tour. Test and ODI no.1 batsman Kohli has been rested from Asia Cup 2018 in order to manage his workload and keep him fit before the big tour of Australia.
