The 2018 edition of the Asia Cup took place in September this year. Six teams participated in the tournament. The final was played between India and Bangladesh. India won the tournament (their 7th overall).

Sri Lanka’s pace spearhead made a brilliant comeback in SL squad and impressed with his top performance against Bangladesh in the tournament opener. Unfortunately, Srilankan batsmen let the team down as they lost the game by 137 runs.
Thisara Perera [9-0-55-5]
Thisara Perera took a five wicket haul against Afghanistan. It was the only five wicket haul in the tournament. Sri Lanka lost this game as well and Perera’s bowling figures went in vain.
KD Shah [9-0-39-3]
Hong Kong’s part time bowler Kinchit Shah produced his top bowlers performance to restrict India below 300 runs. In reply, the Associate Nation failed to chase the target by 26 runs.
Kedar Jadhav [9-1-23-3]
India’s part time bowler Kedar Jadhav continued his good bowling performance and troubled inexperienced Pakistan’s middle order batsmen as they were bowled out for just 162 runs in their first clash of the tournament. India won the match by 8 wickets.
Rashid Khan [10-0-43-3]
Rashid Khan top performance helped Afghanistan take the game to the last over against Pakistan. However, they lost the match by 3 wickets at the end.
Ravindra Jadeja [10-0-29-4]
Ravindra Jadeja made a brilliant comeback in the limited overs side as he picked 4 wickets against Bangladesh to reduce them for a low score of 173 runs. India chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand.
Junaid Khan [9-1-19-4] & Mustafizur Rahman [10-2-43-4] (Semi-Final)
Both Junaid Khan and Mustifizur Rahman gave their top performance in the important clash claiming 4 wickets each for their respective teams. Bangladesh won the game by 37 runs.
