India’s 2011 World Cup winning captain and limited overs premium wicketkeeper, MS Dhoni who is currently struggling with his batting form has not been named for the T20I series against Windies and Australia.

It is to be noted that MS Dhoni is going through a lean patch with bat in 2018. He averages a meagre 27.22. In addition to that, his strike rate is also very low.

Note: India’s inaugural 2007 World T20 winning captain, Dhoni has scored 123 runs in 5 T20I innings at a strike rate of 155.69 this year.

Earlier this year, he hit 455 runs in 15 innings of cash rich Indian Premier League (IPL) leading his side to second title.

However, In ODIs the cricketer manages just 245 runs in 11 innings striking at 68.24

Krunal Pandya is selected in T20I squad while Shahbaz Nadeem’s good performance in domestic matches earned him a place in shorter version of the game.

Skipper V Kohli is rested for T20I series against WI.

Update: India is looking for a second wicketkeeper.

MSK Prasad also confirmed that it is not the end of MSD in T20Is.
