Home team gets a major boost after AB De Villiers presence for the last 3 ODI matches. He is a good player of spin so it will be interesting to see how he will counter India’s wrist spinners. Both Kuldeep and Chahal have taken 21 proteas wickets in 3 matches.
Apart from one change rest of the South African squad remain same. Every South African player get’s confidence after De Villiers come back in the squad. The challenge for the South African side is a lot bigger. Now they have to win all the remaining matches against India to save the series.
The win for South Africa depends on how the play India wrist spin twin on the remaining matches.
The middle order of South Africa tested once again. But this time AB De Villiers available to bind the South Africa middle order. Another challenge for South Africa is to remove Indian captain Virat Kohli cheaply to expose India middle order.
India also has some loophole in their batting department. Their lower order look week. Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya failed in providing India consistent batting touch.
India can try Axar Patel in place of Kedar Jadhav. Axar can bowl and also capable of hitting balls in the death overs.
Ajinkya Rahane looked good in 1st ODI nut he fails in 2nd. The remaining 3 ODI will be very crucial for him to score runs and cemented his place in playing 11.
No change is expected from India team. If they win the 4th ODI then we will see some changes.
