International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved T10 cricket, a domestic franchise tournament of the Emirates Cricket Board.

It is a major boost for the tournament ahead of the tournament this year.

The first edition was played back in December at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium last year. The next season will kick off from November 23.

The six-team tournament was played for six days in the previous edition. Kerala Blasters was the winners with Punjabi Legends as the runner-up. This time around the tournament will be played for 10 days with 8 teams.

Former India player Virendra Sehwag, Sahid Afridi are among those who played in the previous tournament.

The shorter version of the game will help globalize the game. However, it might affect the 50-over and longer version of the game, Tests.
