Virat Kohli hit’s 1st Test century in England and clarify he is now a complete batsman in all sorts of conditions
Virat Kohli has just produced the best innings for this generation. I have never seen any batsman took his side from 182-8 to 274 single-handedly as out of 98 runs scored for last two wickets Virat stroked 92 which is remarkable from Indian skipper. However, the path of Virat’s masterclass innings was filled with a lot of struggles, revives and determinant shots. Kohli’s greatest rival in Test cricket James Anderson kept him check throughout the course of their battle. Even at one stage when Kohli was batting at 21 Anderson got better of Indian captain once again. But unfortunately for England Malan dropped Kohli’s Catch in 2nd slip to give him revive. As we always say if you give great batman one more chance he will score big against you that’s what Kholi did with England team.
The best part of Virat Kohli innings was he kept motivating himself after every miss, after every wrong shot. His magnitude, determination, and intensity were displayed in the last session of day2. Kohli completely manipulated England bowling attack and control the pace of the game. His genius was appreciated by England captain Joe Root after Indian captain completed his century.
Virat Kohli scored 134 runs and faced 288 balls in entire 2014 England tour in 10 innings
Now in 2018 Virat batted for just one inning and scored 149 runs and faced 255 balls
Note: Virat hit’s his 22 Test century and by doing so he equalizes M Azharuddin at 5th place in the list of most number of hundred scored by an Indian batsman in Test cricket.
