Indian Men’s Cricket Team has been suffering from injury concerns of their players. Most of their premium players sustained an injury in 2018. The issue becomes more critical to address considering the 2019 World cup. Moreover, With only 8 months remain before Team India plays their 1st match of the World cup, then it becomes relevant for Indian selectors and Team Management to pay their focus on controlling the Injury concerns to the top players.
India can’t afford to miss any regular member of ODI in Word cup due to injury. So it’s high time for BCCI to become proactive and take measures in order to manage the major injuries to their regular ODI players, who are set to play in the World Cup.
The players like Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav are very prominent members of India’s limited overs side. Both these players have a big part to play in the upcoming World cup. Meanwhile, an injury forced them to sit out the ODI team against West Indies. Jadhav has been suffering from Hamstring, While Pandya sustained an acute lower back injury during Asia cup. Bhuvneshvar Kumar was also regularly caught by injuries in 2018. He is India’s premium fast bowler along with Bumrah. The team in blue will be hoping that their regular member of playing XI gets more than 100% fit ahead of World cup 2019
